This item delivered as ordered and does what is it designed for. As a home unit ultra-sound I found it very convenient. I would really only use this with the advice of an MD or Physical Therapist.

I bought this ultrasound device a year and half ago. Since I'm a veteran of years of physical therapy, I really needed my own ultrasound device since it was the only thing beside icing that would allow my tennis elbow to heal. However, it doesn't last long. I tried to used it earlier this year and it wouldn't work. It's not heavy-duty, and only good for a year or so as I found out. I'm buying a replacement one as of now. It does work, but doesn't heat up, but then the professional ones that physical therapists uses don't heat up either. This device is good for repetitive strain injuries when you need to get the blood flowing thru the inflamed tissues and don't forget to use ice as well to keep inflammation down.

Before anyone of you guys make a comment, be careful as you might sound silly as the reviewer 2 reviews below. You do not feel any surface heat. The heat is transmitted deep within the tissue. Please google up before making a remark.
You do get a lot of heat energy. That is why you have to make sure that you keep the treatment head moving constantly.

Not sure what previous reviewer was talking about. The product uses ULTRASOUND waves for pain relief NOT heat. After repeated use, the pain in my knee and shoulder was feeling great. I think you should re-read the description and reconsider your opinion. Great product sold by a great company.

If you have a sports injury, some web sites suggest this device. I used it and found no "deep heating" sensation like is advertised. I am NOT a doctor, but I suggest that if you are in real pain . . . go to a doctor . . . get real physical therapy . . . don't waste your time with this toy.
